Government spy programme will monitor every phone call, text and email... and details will be kept for up to a year
Details about text messages, phone calls, emails and every website visited by members of the public will be kept on record in a bid to combat terrorism.
The Government will order broadband providers, landline and mobile phone companies to save the information for up to a year under a new security scheme.
What is said in the texts, emails or phone calls will not be kept but information on the senders, recipients and their geographical whereabouts will be saved.

As long as the use the information and are not shocked or shackled by political correctness when it turns stuff up repeatedly. If you can't name your enemy or understand its reasons for attacking you you can't combat it.
It's another loss of a bit of our freedom for a little but more feeling safe.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm definitely being tracked. The youtube videos I watch, the sites I check in on, the new articles posted here that I read.
We are all high on the agenda.
This is old news. It is being done now. They say it is to combat terrorism but it isn't. It enables them to build up a list of your friends and business partners. they when you do wrong they can look for you at those places and they can monitor their phones for references. The best bit is you pay for this. The government just collects the analyses data but the ISPs have to keep the raw data.
This is what Stalin wanted but the technology was not there.
We should be so proud we beat the Stasi at their own game in a supposedly free country.
That is why my phones are old technology pay as you go. I change my main phone regularly and I have a couple I only use to call others with.
Combat terrorism my arse, social engineering and control of the sheeple is the order of the day.
I'm going to buy some land, get some guns, then vanish haha.
