you wont need a vehicle that does 185mph, you'll be going very slow pushing all the abandoned vehicles out of the way!
Loving that boot space. What a sophisticated and refined Armageddon we'll have. More tea, vicar?
Naa here is a BOV that is designed for the discerning British survivalist

That rocks! (but any 3 wheel with leaf-springs will rock a bit)

I have a matt black Reliant still. I also have a .30 cal browning, and an outboard motor... hmmm.

I don't have any caterpillar tracks knocking about though... or any time or money. Thinking about it, I really should sell the Reliant. Any one want to build one? I'm afraid my browning and outboard aren't for sale though.
It is unarmoured, Not armoured as the article states, as far as I can make out. A good model name for the fibreglass vehicle would be "INFERNO"... lol
They put a coat of military paint on it. Compared to an ordinary Reliant Robin that is armoured. Smile
They are pretty strong on some ways. On hitting a tree, they bend, and then pop back into shape. They don't rust, and have a galvanised chassis too. It hung together OK when I rolled it at speed, in fact it landed back on it's wheels and I carried on going... minus a wing mirror. Mine has a slight 'special' engine. It would get up to 90 before it would start to take off. I got to 95 but at times only one wheel was on the ground, so I bottled making the ton. But I reckon the motor was good for it. So you understand how my rolling it was inevitable. And when you do manage to smash them (brick wall, wife driving) then you can just pop-rivet some ally over the holes and it actually looks all the better for it. I wouldn't like to be in a burning one though. When I got a fuel leak, I replaced all the hoses with new, very promptly.
I always felt safer on high-powered motorbikes than in the Reliant.
