Yes & we didn't have the fragile global market infrastructure back then. Food could become very scarce & with no agricultural preparation before the eruption, then it is unlikely our countrys farmers will be able to cover the shortfall. Very Unlikely!

When "Keyboard mash" went up, ended up with about an inch or so of ash over here- would ruin anything I've got growing here when Katla goes.

Haven't got that much stored yet.

The thing is, everyone that's not prepped will still call us crazy! Haha
