This store allows you buy items in bulk

As with all these stores you do need to do the maths/ and compare - which can be a bit time consuming but you can get a good deal on some items compared to buying in the grocery few jems that I picked up:

I tend to do a list of items I want to stock - write their prices and then do a little search around to see if works out cheaper. i.e. their 10kg kellogs cornflakes it worked out cheaper if I purchased the boxes separately via Iceland = 750g box for £2.70 saving me a good bit of money

Canned Cheese - Napolina Brand - Case of 12
currently £1.75 per tin in the grocery

Cereal - Rice Krispies - 10 Kg Box - Saving of £6.00 if purchasing the boxes separately

Chefs Larder - Spagetti - 12Kgs

25kg Granulated Sugar

Heinz ketchup - 2.55kg (they do have bigger sizes & brands)

I have used them a couple time - great shelf life on items like 12 tins of sardines for £7.49 I purchased in September 2011 expiry date 2015

Delivery is quick as well, my stuff usually shows up in 3 days.

A question about the food itself though, what state is the packaging in when it arrives (are boxes semi crushed, tins dented etc), also what are the use by dates like on other tinned produce (like Tuna)?

All the best

No quality of everything is top notch - tins are fine / boxes are fine and dates are fine.

First order I did September last year 2011

I did sardines 14 tins -as before £7.49 for pk of 12 unlike grocery which can be up to a £1 for 1 tin.

Skimmed milk - 2kg expiry date expiry next year - £8.96

Jacobs crackers - at the time they had on special offer pk of 12 for £8.47 expiry was this year September 2012 - because the have very little vegetable oil - I store in mylar bag with couple oxygen absorbers (in the original pack)

I also got pilchards (case of 12/ tuna 12 again long expiry dates 2014/2015

so excellent as I have all my emergency tinned items grouped by expiry date in industrial plastic containers with covers

Prepared Chick, Thanks, its very good lots of things that we use. I shall soon make up orders for bulk buying. Thanks again. Kenneth Eames.
