Looking for ideas, tips and sketches to create a Screen saver / wallpaper image for PCs, I would ideally like it to show in infrographic style useful essential info for the prepper pc owner.

I though in one part listing an EDC check list
( Knife, Flashlight, Compass, Lighter, Wallet, Shades, Bandana, Dust mask, gloves, watch, etc etc)

In another perhaps the radio calling channels for Prep CB and Ham frequencies,

Then perhaps a bug out quick check list ( round up family, alert group, move BOBs to front door, turn off utilities in house, refuel vehicles, monitor media etc)

Any spare space could be perhaps First aid check list ABC, BBBB etc.

The sort of thing is as soon as you turn on your laptop the screen gioves you userful info in graphic form to help you react to TSHTF

Any sensible and non pornographic ideas appreciated.
You mean something like this but for the pooter? (I must get me one of these.)
Oh how about a checklist of where and how to turn off gas, water, electric etc?
Ignore my last, I see you already have it!

gotta have some pin ups Wink everythings better with pin ups!

in all seriousness though this is a great idea Smile

That's me out then...

On a serious note, I like the idea of all that info on 1 sheet of paper but don't see much practical use in having it as a wallpaper/screensaver.
It would all likely be basic knowledge that you knew (or should know) already anyway, except for maybe checklists/radio channels and frequencies to make sure you have them. But even then, I'd take a laminated sheet of paper over a screensaver any day, who's to say the electric will even be on when TSHTF?

That said, typing "prepper infographic", "survavlist infographic" etc. into google images pulls up some cool stuff, but again it's mostly very basic.

The most useful for me personally would be a mini foraging guide with pictures of the most common edible plants in the UK, how to recognize them and what parts are edible. Then maybe a few for cordage and medicinal plants too. You could fit a lot onto a page or 2 and it'd be awesome to carry in the field as opposed to having to constantly search through books.
Ooh and sources of natural tinder. And an easy colour coded reference to see which seasons each tinder, medicine and food source are available.
Now that would be handy... might have to do this myself. Of course I'll share it here if I do
I started using ustart as my home page, still setting it up but like it so far, I have links to different category of favourite sites, and task/reminders and stuff, put in a bit of effort and you could get close to what you’re after.

You might want the upload a file widget this will allow you to upload say a edc list or anything you care to name, and one click and your be able to read them, also anyone with the password could.
that sounds pretty cool WnC...kinda reminds me of rainmeter for your desktop, i dont use it anymore cause of a reasonably low spec system, but now i dont game very much i might start!

thats a very cool rainmeter skin! i used it for a long time, just be careful with rainmeter, if comments are disabled for the skin, chances are its malware :p....but rainmeter itself is a great program and i do trust it Smile
I needed something to replace igoogle as they are getting rid of it soon, and u start has been the best option so far.

NR your looking for something offline I noticed so this won't be of use to you.
I dont mind say a news feed ticker along the bottom, but its more of PC Wallpaper i want.
well rainmeter could serve that purpose well, you can have the time date, local news, weather and all sorts right on your desktop!....i used to even get a word of the day feed, essentially you can set up any rss feed to display, i used to have google news right there in whatever colour and size i wanted!...although this wouldnt fufill the void of specific information for prepping, it would serve to keep you upto date and such like, not to mention you could have a wallpaper that compliments your rainmeter setup, if you give me a list of information i'll see what i can rig up for you, im not too good at the rainmeter coding, but i know enough Smile...and i can make a pretty wallpaper, combine the 2 and im sure i can create a nice cohesive look thats useful as well as pretty Big Grin
