so im pretty sure this is fairly old hat, but its always worth posting this stuff anyway Smile

basically i've started using lengths of paracord instead of shoe laces, finding them to not only be stronger, harder wearing and have the added bonus of being paracord and therefore very useful, but its cheaper than proper laces!

just today whilst doing up my shoes i had a discussion with my dad on wether he should spend 3 quid on some decent boot laces, or spend 3.49 on 15m of paracord....so i leave it to you, 49p more for 10 times more product, thats i much more versatile and higher quality!

to me this is a no brainer, from now on every shoe lace i ever have shall be a length of paracord Smile
the paracord is great stuff i was useing it today to tie up some hedge i had cut down i had tryed some string but that just snapped when i pulled at it
it really is! 2 short lengths are all i need to tie up a hammock, holds my weight infe Smile its strong and reliable, the lengths for my laces are more than enough to tie up a hammock Smile
I use nylon laces on synthetic boots and leather laces on leather boots, leather laces and boots react in cooperation to moisture air temp etc.
My oakley SI boots came with paracord laces. They've outlasted the boots!
