thats very true for individual families, but i'm looking for anglo ghettoes across the continent where theres loads of already established and accepted ex pats. i would feel safer and more welcome in parts of Europe than I would in some parts of the UK.

you'll probably find those ex-pats are the very same ones you are leaving UK to get away from.

Well I don't even own a tv so I couldn't have watched it even if I wanted too!

I personally wouldn't go for Romania as there is a tiny country next to it called Moldova and there was riots in Moldova in 2009 (I think) that resulted in a breakaway stated called transnitia (I forget how its spelt but its pretty much all of the land east of their river plus a little more I think) that currently has Russian troops based there backing up the breakaway state and the US has promised to use its military to back Moldova if there is any more trouble there... So possibility of Russian US war methinks even though there's been no trouble since 2009 although I did read somewhere that Moldova is one of there worst places for gun smuggling with AKs costing as little as $50 there!
Loads of guns come from croatia.
Looking like Spain for me then lol

Spain (and Italy) are part of the Euro crisis and are in a recession and are expected to follow Greece's example.
