Since this year has been super wet, get ready for potentially more.

Simply put, because the ground is already super saturated with water from record breaking rainfalls, this means a tiny bit of rain could potentially cause more flooding.

"But wait Scythe" I hear you calling. "The temperature's dropping really quickly, and it's already 0 degrees or lower most nights." Spot on. Which could lead to a very interesting winter indeed. Frozen ground, for a long time......hours of fun!!!
Dodgy Three weeks of sun & there will be a hosepipe ban... Rolleyes
BBC has just ran with the same nationwide flloding risk story saying the moorlands are sodden, rivers full and lowlands sodden as well so even a modest amount of rain could cause trouble, Fingers crossed we may wake up one morning to hear London is now the new Atlantis.
just found the plans on how to build an ark!! might give it a go lol

Nice find BP.

It looks to be interesting, but only really effecting the higher areas :-(

On an up note, it's raining here very heavily! So at least that's a bit of fun with flooding.
I've been getting texts, emails, and telephone calls from the Environmental agency flood warning scheme all week.
Either they are on the ball or I'd better dust off the rubber ring.
Well we had sleet last night and it wasn't even mentioned on the weather. My bones are telling me were in for a cold snap
We get a summer, just not in the summer months, keep on getting warm dry spells that people forget about
