How so? The factory is being built there to deal with local demand. It is stupid to build a vehicle in the UK then put it on a ship to the other side of the world. Most of the major vehicle manufacturers have factories in China, if JLR did not go down that route they would be cutting themselves off from a market.
It may also mean we are still able to buy Defenders - one of the reasons the current Defender is being discontinued is its production cost.

Give it ten minutes till they find out they can build them there cheaper.
It was the same with the British ship industry.
Its in korea now.
granted they build five ships for the same price as one over here so I suppose its all about econamics but its still a sad state of affairs.

That is the way of the world. That is why we should adapt to changing environments but our government doesn't let us and thus our way of life dies out.
