Mrs NR just spent two hours trying to get to her first patient because yet again nearly every main road is flooded, She reports back that like the SW huge swaithes of land are under water in County Durham and Teesside.
She's got it wrong NR. We're not under water down here. We're usually sub-aqua, and are occasionally above the meniscus.

We're not under water. You're just weird land dwellers! Most the locals around here have gills. Have you seen that film Waterworld? Or heard about the great flood in the Bible, where it rained 40 days and 40 nights? We had a hose-ban that year!!! Driest year on record!

You landlovers have some nerve!

VIVE LA FISHMEN......and women!!!
Looks like Northallerton is getting hammered, local radio says they may need to casevac the hospital.
I hope it doesn't come to that NR.

Even though we're seeing our usual flood water seeping away, we wish you and everyone up there our best.
Been into South Tyneside today. All of the flat parts have water on them, the ground is full and can take no more.

Testos roundabout is a lake.
Yes, as it always is. What was really daft was on the road back to Gateshead, the A184, there was two cop cars with 'FLOOD' in the back window to warn us all of a puddle.

I do not know how we would survive without them.
Wishing you guys the best.
Take care, NR et al.
Mr Ferret turned up at his outpatient clinic not expecting to see many patients and over 60% turned up. Yes they were late, but they managed it in the end. Dogged Smile
Mrs NR is also breaking in a new Nurse Practioner for the other hospital so she is having to do more milage than normal between Barnard Castle and Peterlee to see both sets of patients, and the pair of silly buggers are doing in in all this insane weather finding their way around the multiple closed roads.
