It is a good idea but what I have found is that people over estimate their skills, preps and locations strength, underestimate their weaknesses and don't analyse them correctly simply because you don't know what you don't know and you become complacent. in saying that though you should always do one because it is the best we have for evaluating the situation. just try and be a bit more paranoid. (As if you need telling)
