In butter or oil

One very easy plan is simply to rub each egg all over with butter or oil, and then to lay the eggs in a jar with salt to cover them, the butter or the oil serves to close the pores and eggs treated in this way will keep for six months

In Bran

This is a method that is very reliable, wooden boxes are required for packing, they should be clean, dry and free of smell, line them with several sheets of newspaper take a bottle of salad oil, carefully examine each egg for imperfections, rub the egg with oil and place each egg on a tray

Go to the box, cover the box with a thick layer of Bran to a depth of about 2inches, place the eggs sharp end down, in such a way that the eggs do not touch each other, cover the eggs with another two inches of Bran, and continue untill the box is full,..... ending with Bran on top
