anybody interested in horse logging should come to the wood fair later this year, i'll put the details up later.
I have a slight fobia of horse's, so even though I have thought about them I'm opting out. Unless I could maybe get my hands on a Shetland pony as something to pull a cart lol

horse bows are generally smaller than other bows.
That's right, BP.

And that is why I will only look at getting those.
They will shoot well on foot too and have a nasty weight when used right.
I am still researching and accumulating the dosh I need...

if you want a bow i can put you in touch with someone who can make you one, to your own specifications.
Yes please.

I am a very grateful indeed.
I send you a PM now.
a good well trained horse is worth its weight in gold
not just transport.
it can help move large objects.
some places actually use it for a source of milk.
they provide excellent natural fertiliser.
they can keep you warm.
and you can eat them and use their skins.
the horse has always been the most usefull animal man ever trained.
dogs are handy in their own ways but they aint a patch on a horse.
a horses mess is usefull. a dogs is just another problem to deal with.

theres people who live on the Russian steps with a particular breed of horse. their whole survival in one of earths hardest places totally depends on their symbiotic existence with their horses.
look for the documentery on them, its a great watch.
