just imagine post SHTF when there isnt anyone to repair the potholes...i wonder just how far we'd get without cracking an axle or blowing a tyre?? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-22006336
in some areas there already isn't anyone repairing the potholes.
it appears devon is one of them lol
we've got potholes that havent been repaired since the bad winter of 2010, rural areas arent a prority it seems.
the estate I live on hasn't had a road resurfaced since I was about 8
around 35 years ago
the pot holes are horrendous.
and every time just before we have elections we get poloticians coming round asking us about the roads.
then soon as the elections are over they all vanish into the woodwork.
your lucky, we dont get any politicians coming around, we dont know who we are voting for until we get to the polling station, we may get a leaflet from the lib dems but not from anyone else. still i could do without them banging on the door!!Big Grin
lol @ the libdem joke .

sadly we get all parties except a wildcard. cos they know wed all vote for the wildcard.
be hilarious if everyone in uk suddenly voted for the underdog.
chances are TPTB would probably insist on royalty stepping in as a temp measure until something could be found that pleased them and gave them an outcome they were agreeable to.
nothing to do with what we would like though.
we have families living in them up here...they even have bathrooms
lmao StraightShooter we don't call them potholes, we call them something holes but not potholes.
They spend about 30 seconds repairing holes here, shovel tarmac in and get the wacker on it, then there away. Someones making a small fortune with road repairs, should get prisinors to do it
I agree with the getting prisoners doing it,
so would most of the prisoners.
sadly it could never work
even with the cheap labour there the funds for materials wouldn't be.
and some of the prisoners would have ulterior motives for wanting to .
