Asda usually sell the 12volt inverters, I think there 125 watt for about £9.00.
I got from asdas the other day a 12volt for your car lighter socket usb conection for charging stuff £1 single usb connection.
The did the double connection for a bit more.
Asda is quite good for random stuff like that, but you have to spend a while looking, these weren't anywhere in particular just stuffed near the self serve till, near the travel accessories so they could be virtually anywhere in yours.

Much cheaper on eBay uk and the prices of larger ones have come right down.

I wonder if the EU will also stick 49% tariffs on Inverters etc from China the way they are going to hammer Chinese Solar Panels ??

If it benefits us in anyway (ie no tax on free energy) then the answer is probably a yes
The tax should be on all the junk thats sent over.
