How do I quote another post or part of, and get it to come up on a white background?
I tried cut and paste but although it said "So and So said" the text was still on normal background.
Can some kind person please explain.
Ta.
Hit the reply button and the previous post comes up surrounded by [ quote ] [ / quote]
Markers. (I had to put spaces in there so it didn't take)

Thanks for that. It's easy when you know how.
That's interesting. I've been using the quote button between thanks and report.

yes it does , sorry answered my own question
If you want multiple quotes you need to start another window, hit reply for each one and cut and past into your reply window.
Don't forget text you enter between the quota delimiters shows up in the quote. Put your reply outside the quote and if you want to answer line by line you need to cut and paste the quote marks. Make sure you have an open quote some text a close quote, your comment, and then another open quote and so on if you want to do it line by line.
