So what do you wonderful and enlightened people think may be a good solid list of items for a prepper with his own home and family that you would support? Just general throwing ideas into the hat ?????

My own idea would be something like

Wood / Multi Fuel stove (Fixed or portable)
A secure supply of fuel for the stove
A Sizeable reserve of stored treated water
Berkfield filter plus spare candles
Comprehensive First Aid and Emergency dental kit
Over a months reserve of food (not requiring refrigeration)
A mode of transporting family and kit (Not public)
A reserve of treated fuel for vehicle
A Selection of Prepper / Survivalist reference books
A GHB / BOB for each member of the family
A full set of ourdoor clothing plus footwear for every family member
Home and Personal protection equipment
And perhaps for each person in the family group a decent
Knife
Flashlight
Lighter
Compass
Multi tool
Watch
Eye protection
+ Solar Panel, Leisure Batteries and a 12v invertor
Yes Dev that's a bloody good basic and TBH not to expensive cos you can get 80 watt panels and a decent battery for under £150 these days.
am getting everybody in the group a pair of knives Mora heavy duty for a general knife and a victorinox Spartan as a multitool to wear round there neck on a bit of paracord.....have cheated by buying all the males a Spartan for chrimbo last year......roughly £26 a head for the pair.
Hay box, if you are cooking for a family/group your soon going to go through your fuel a hay box is a good way to cook and save on fuel.

Another essential for the home, is making sure that you have a suitable cooking pot(s) to use on your fire/wood Burning stove/Rocket stove etc.....

So something like a dutch oven or a heavy cast iron casserole dish with lid is always worth adding to your preps.
On top of what I have seen on this list cling film, silver foil, spam cutter, vehicle spares hygiene items

NBC gear suits etc, defense gear for home
Another couple of essentials:

Soap - not just for day to day cleaning, but also to help infection control/cleaning around wounds
Thin bleach - water treatment and general sterilisation
A personal (robust) water bottle for each person when out and about
Soap !!!! But only dirty people get washed ! Smile
