Even if we had one million armed cops they cannot protect us from lone wolf islamic extremists living in our community, only the lawfully armed law abiding citizen can do that.

The media always concentrate on the cities, but with rural police numbers slashed it wouldn't surprise me if the next terrorist outrage was in a remote town. A life is a life, an armed fanatic could cause carnage by simply driving around rural areas murdering people, and needn't blow himself up afterwards either. We saw something similar when the lunatic with a smallbore rifle did it a few years ago.

Yup both Hungerford and Dunblane were far from large city centres.

terrorists will always go where there are larger numbers of people for maximum impact and exposure.
