Always wished I could get something similar here in the UK, even an air rifle using precharged air cartridges would do nicely, but i dont think the Brocock cartridge is used any more.

Must be over twenty or twentytfive years since i saw it first!!!, still as simple and inspiring today as it was then.
I remember a Brit survivalist from Tyneside who got an over and under .410 shotgun and fitted a sleeve in one of the barrels that allowed him to fire .22LR ammo from that tube and 410 from the other tube, again that was decades ago though.

Had one, sold it quickly.
Concept looks good but the execution is flawed. Bad trigger, bad sights, bad balance, bad accuracy for the rifel barrel and bad groups from the shotgun barrel.
In a survival pinch, like it is engineered for, it would be better than no gun, but just barely. It is intended to be stored in a parachute pack for bailout of large SAC bomber crews, not used on a daily basis or depended on for long term survival use.
The SAC bomber crews were unarmed and if shot down this gun was intended to keep their morale boosted until they were picked up by SAR, anticipated within 24-48 hours.

You can still get combination guns in various calibres my mate had one in 20g/30-30 (i think) he got his with the intention of going boar hunting, slug in one barrel for if one took him by surprise and the the 30-30 for longer range stuff. Got rid of it due to not been granted slugs on his ticket so cold only use normal cartridges but found it a pain in the arse using a scoped gun for shooting moving/flying stuff.
Be alright as a survival rifle though.

Theres always the iconic Charter Arms / Henry AR7 survival rifle in 22 LR?, I used one for over a month in KS but it kept jamming after about 7 rounds, turned out to be a busted extractor claw spring I think, when that was changed it ran flawlessly.
And if you are rich like SD there is always the Steyer Scout

Got the AR7, but I swapped out the stock for a pistol grip and skeleton buttplate. Weighs 2 pounds. Got 2 high capacity mags and they run like clockwork. Acceptably accurate too.

In researching what guns are available in Europe I found a version of the M6 that is still being made by a specialist division of the manufacturer CZ
The BO 803/ 802/ 801 series are still in production by the Brno Arms company.
