black friday - Sunna - 1 December 2014 well we must of all seen the tv reports , what did you think . people with the chance of a flat screen tv 50% off fight , push shove , trample women under foot for a bargain , all the supermarkets have full cctv they must of known this but it did not stop them. how would they act towards each other if their was no food/water if the shtf chaos is only a few hours away.......?......right.....? RE: black friday - bigpaul - 1 December 2014 my point exactly. RE: black friday - Barneyboy - 1 December 2014 my dad just said that to me, "that prepping thing you do boy"did you see them people with the tv s" ,"just think".he said if it was food they were trying to get ,there would be killings ,I no dad that's why I prep RE: black friday - Devonian - 1 December 2014 Yep absolutely crazy and as Barney say's it has, I think, made a few non-preppers sit up and take note! RE: black friday - Steve - 2 December 2014 Do you think those people in the stores know that something is very wrong ? The look on their faces told a tale, a weird desperation to consume, as if it will bring back that comfortable "business as usual" feeling. I saw the same look when I went back to Kent and stopped at the Bluewater shopping centre - people were shopping with grim expressions, not enjoying it but as if performing some ritual to keep the bogeyman away. They all looked so stressed. RE: black friday - NorthernRaider - 2 December 2014 Doncha just know that in a few weeks time after Crimbo the TV and Paper will be rolling out pathetic looking chavvy families ( picture of glum mum with arm around equally looking glum kids) saying We cannot afford food / Pay our rent etc, we are in debt on our credit cards or provy loans. " It was to easy to go shopping and get into debt , its not our fault someone else should pay our bills" Its the shops/ government/ Maggie Thatchers/ shops / credit companies fault for lending the money to us. Note I think the commercial sector may shoot itself in the foot if its left with to much chav tat stock remaining unsold, it could bugger up our economy, add that to it looks like Japan is slipping back into recession, Oil prices are plunging which is hurting RUSSIA very badly on top of the sanctions its getting, much of the SCOTS planned spending in that socialist paradise was relying on oil staying over $100 a barrel its now down to about $64. RE: black friday - bigpaul - 2 December 2014 I expect a lot of this stuff will be for sale in car boot sales all across the country in the spring. but I think the main point is the people attitude in the sales, fighting each other!! for a tv or whatever, now imagine its not the sales but TSHTF and its FOOD!!!. RE: black friday - NorthernRaider - 2 December 2014 GREED R US http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2856308/Black-Friday-shoppers-fought-big-screen-televisions-Asda-Tesco-struggling-sell-internet.html Just watching three experts on Sky from different charities campaigning against poverty and demanding a living wage, according to these people its a national disgrace that children do not have mobile phones, internet access, go the the cinema once a month and don't have an internet connection, if that is what is described as a disaster for society wtf are we prepping for ? RE: black friday - bigpaul - 2 December 2014 (2 December 2014, 11:28)NorthernRaider Wrote: GREED R US I wonder what these people will call it when there is no food in the shops and the power grid is down?? probably "the dark ages"!!hahahahahaha!!! RE: black friday - NorthernRaider - 2 December 2014 I'm all for the living way BTW, but I think the legal mimimum wage should be increased sensibly rather than have two different and potentially confusing wage setups, but it concerns me that experts are thinking luxuries like trip to the cinema are more important than food, heat, shelter etc I spose it helps explain to me when poor deprived needy citizens go on the rampage they raid Currys / PC world and not Asda. |
