according to many of todays newspapers the UK govt is to update 20 year old emergency war plans.

gas terminals, undersea cables, nuclear power plants and transport hubs are all at risk of possible attack.
personally I dont think Starmer could prepare a meal much less emergency war plans.

You can't keep poking the bear without some repercussions. Two tier is playing with fire because he thinks the US will back us up. Trump needs to make it plain that if we continue to poke the bear that he considers that us striking first and won't help us. Focus Two tiers mind, if he can focus it of course.

Starmer isnt a military person, he's not even a good politician, they were going to increase military spending but not until 2027 which is probably too late, Putin will have rearmed by then. not a good situation even if it dosent come to conflict.

Russia has been fighting the west from day one that's its weapons, satellite information, sanctions were just using Ukraines troops to do it .
Haven't we noticed all the problems with cyber hacking over the last few years 5 big banks just a few weeks ago .
The army (normally cops for terrorism) the streets only 2 days ago in Rochdale were told they are Iranian part of the axis of evil
So yes if we poke ...expect to be poked back.

the tone of some of these replies seems to be taking Russia's side, very odd.
Russia has always been anti west since the Revolution, they only came on the Allies side in WW2 after Germany invaded Russia.
I dont think nuclear war in inevitable, it may be, but even Putin knows there will be retaliation and nobody wins in a nuclear war, we all lose, now a cyber attack is something else, attacking our infrastructure is something that Russian hackers do very well.

Not taking Russia's side because I'm a patriot. Just pointing out that history will show we are on the wrong side of this. We should keep out and let the big boys duke it out. It was Boris who stopped the peace talks a while ago and proved to the world he was just another one supporting the global agenda.
Russia isn't going to attack us without provocation and Trump is the only one that seems to care about lives but he doesn't hold all the cards. In fact nobody does but everyone assumes that the US will come to our aid if we start a war with Russia. Trump needs to make it plain he won't if he wants to de-escalate but he can't without throwing one of his cards away.
There is a real chance of a war and we, the West will be the ones starting it,

could happen to cause a drift into a (shooting) war, we are already in a secret one.
A major cyber attack on our infrastructure and the cutting of cables, interlinks and pipe lines
(electricity, gas, nuclear power stations, administration, defence industries, international
commerce all gone), would be all that’s needed to finish the UK.....
no need for missiles.

yes, thats my feeling too Pete, not a nuclear war but a cyber one, once they cut all the cables and the internet and power goes down the masses will panic.
Russia already has the provocation as the UK has supplied Ukraine with money and weapons and training.

The cyber war is been going on for years now also rember the giant supply centre in London set on fire this sent non military supplies to Ukraine.
People were jailed for their part in that .
Do you think gchq or whoever is responsible is not attacking russian , Chinese , Belarusian, Iranian online infrastructure.
