RE: Arctic conditions hit. - Highlander - 29 November 2012 Minus 10 at least yesterday morning up here, I know because the surface of the sea was coated in ice,... the guys on the fish farms were clearing around their pens with the boat Salt water freezes at - 10.... thats water temp of course not air temp RE: Arctic conditions hit. - Ferret - 29 November 2012 Minus 4 in Co Durham this morning but bless her cotton socks my Renault and her snow tyres got me through the ice ![]() RE: Arctic conditions hit. - Pagan-Mist - 30 November 2012 Well it feels a damn sight colder than -2 here in hampshire. RE: Arctic conditions hit. - Scythe13 - 30 November 2012 Midnight walk last night. Temp read 0 in the car on the way out, and still zero on the way back. Considering the car thermometer is generous (all other thermometers including 2 other car therms read 2 degrees lower than it), I wouldn't pitch it as being below -3, but would certainly believe it was between 0 and -2. Oh, and when I say midnight, I meant 10pm last night. Forgot to mention, right now, EVERYTHING is coated in frost!!! |
