RE: Beef jerky! - Highlander - 22 May 2013 Beef Jerky is only thin pieces of dried meat,... no salt needed RE: Beef jerky! - The Ragman - 22 May 2013 But eating it on a regular basis will increase the amount of water you will need to consume to digest it. so In a BOB I avoid it and replace it with Spirulina Capsules. Wot are spiralina capsules? RE: Beef jerky! - The Ragman - 22 May 2013 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirulina_%28dietary_supplement%29 Spirilina is available from health food stores or amazon etc. RE: Beef jerky! - Mooski88 - 22 May 2013 (22 May 2013, 20:57)The Ragman Wrote: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirulina_%28dietary_supplement%29 Cheers. Reading that sounds worth getting some! RE: Beef jerky! - Grumpy Grandpa - 23 May 2013 I just read the Wikipedia report too, including the bit further down the page, 'Possible health benefits and risks'. If the USA can't guarantee they're contaminant free and the Chinese are saying they are contaminated with heavy metals, I'll pass thanks and eat bits of coo! Moooo! Also the U.S has cleared it as they have been feeding it to astronauts for a while now as have the ESA. RE: Beef jerky! - Grumpy Grandpa - 23 May 2013 It wisnae sae much worry, I jist love ma meat (faither wis a butcher ye ken - brought up oan the stuff!) I was a 3rd generation butcher myself :-) although I'm mostly a veggie these days. RE: Beef jerky! - Grumpy Grandpa - 23 May 2013 Funny - that's the one thing he wouldn't let me do - butchery. He let me go into the Army though, at 15! |
