I mean regulations and law go out the window in extreme situations right ? cant understand all this talk about callsigns and such, the average radio ham will have no power, food reserves or much else, not part of the eqaution for long i would imagine. Offcom are hardly going to be breaking your door down either, like they all be at home with family if they can get home. I have a 2mtr transceiver, 2 c.b, 3 pmr, 1 multiband receiver and a fm broadcast transmitter, fm broadcast ? yes the fm band you listen to your local radio on, when my local station goes down i will be broadcasting to the community. Communication is half the battle in a disaster situation, anoracks however should remain in the wardrobe. |
