Don't get me wrong, I think that treehouses have many advantages

, but if I was going to build one, I would probably go down the covert route. I'd be interested in hearing any ideas as to how to camoflage them. I think they would be good as a lookout post or a way of getting a different angle on a possible avenue of approach to your retreat area. I would prioritise building a underground shelter first, like a zemylanka, but that's just my preference.

If your looking at underground look for the old ww2 bunkers I have found 5 in my area which are in a wooded area. The local kids go drinking in a couple but there is one covered in brambles which is left alone. I'm looking at boarding it up to see if it gets interfered with and go from there

Pick your trees, a wooded area, and build carefully and they will be hard to see.
