I have to agree with Mort you can't put a time on such a huge syllabus, if you're the village idiot you may never get to be that competent , and I think pure survival/ living of the land per se is a young man's game , I think I would succumb to the weather the diet the privations pretty quickly as i'm no longer a spring chicken , just dipping into mother natures larder wherever opportunity presents is going to be more my line...i'm not bear grylls or Rambo.
