RE: Special skills for preppers (or not) - mikebratcher69 - 27 December 2011 As for skills being taught via the site, it's quite difficult to explain via small bites on you tube and such. I like your excellent videos on youtube by the way w&c, Most of the skills Nr talks about and quite rightly says are available in local classes which are much better as you get actual hands on with the tools, rather than reading about it. It's like NR's patrrolling course, he could sit at the computer all day trying to explain it but some things such as that are better as a class, as NR is hoping to do. And trust me you wouldnt apreciate me trying to show you my carpentry skills their abismal. But once ive done the savonius rotor and tried and tested it I'll do a little article on how to go about it. Ive also seen an article somewhere on using redundant solar cells from the cheapo garden lights to make a phone charger etc... I'll try and find it and post the link. |
