RE: exocet200 x bow - Nemesis - 1 May 2012 Just makes so much sense, thanks this will change things. I Guess this is the one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-TRUGLO-CENTRA-ARCHERY-COMPOUND-BOW-PEEP-SIGHT-with-rubber-aligner-/310397259815?pt=UK_Archery&hash=item48451e5027 RE: exocet200 x bow - Familyguy - 1 May 2012 thats it ... also get a d loop and wrist release aid ... thats a good bow keep the string waxed as well RE: exocet200 x bow - Nemesis - 1 May 2012 (1 May 2012, 01:52)Familyguy Wrote: thats it ... also get a d loop and wrist release aid ... thats a good bow keep the string waxed as well Them D loops look like bits of para cord, not being tight or anything but I could make my own have lots of para cord, or are they thinner then standard para cord. RE: exocet200 x bow - Familyguy - 1 May 2012 there very thin mate and if it slips you ll miss fire andthe neighbours will be at risk again http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TruBall-TruNok-Hunting-Release-Loop-Tru-Nok-D-Loop-/280860078904?pt=AU_Archery&hash=item416490b338#ht_521wt_952 this one will hold the arrow better and it wont slip or missfire....if it releases in the wrong direction it could be fatal. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/archery-string-wrist-release-aid-compound-recurve-bows-SOLD-/261010058421?pt=UK_Archery&hash=item3cc5696cb5#ht_500wt_1202 RE: exocet200 x bow - Nemesis - 1 May 2012 (1 May 2012, 11:54)Familyguy Wrote: there very thin mate and if it slips you ll miss fire andthe neighbours will be at risk again Thank you FG and one thing I want to add I am ashamed of myself with that bad release that’s why it has not been used since I have now moved my range to another part of my garden and this has added benefit of next door out building backing on to it, I have built range wider as well. I think I will maybe go as far as to take this bow to the woods and learn it there. RE: exocet200 x bow - Familyguy - 1 May 2012 the bows just half the tool .... stand holding it ready and just practise drawing it back to your cheek/lips .... and get used to it ... did u check the draw is the right length as your arms pulled into position ... at 30 meters that bow will kill whatever it hits. RE: exocet200 x bow - Nemesis - 4 May 2012 Some more information for us compound noobs. FG is pure bees wax ok for strings, or should I buy a branded type. I did not check the draw is the right length I just bought it and shot some then had a mishap then went back to my crossbows until I could get a safer shoot. RE: exocet200 x bow - Familyguy - 4 May 2012 hi mate get this one its cheap and cheerfull and we all use it http://www.merlinarchery.co.uk/bohning-seal-tite-string-wax.html RE: exocet200 x bow - Nemesis - 4 May 2012 (4 May 2012, 22:13)Familyguy Wrote: hi mate get this one its cheap and cheerfull and we all use it Will do, thanks so much. RE: exocet200 x bow - Nemesis - 5 May 2012 FG I tried tonight to install peep sight it seems the string must be made loose although no YouTube vids are showing this am I correct in thinking this? I don't have any instructions with this bow so it’s like very new to me, I am thinking just get a new string and pay to have it all done. |
