Cold - yes.. Wet - No! Their design is not ideal longer term in the UK due to degredation of their construction materials due to damp/mould/rot etc that arises in our climatic environment. That is why they are not quite like the structures that our ancestors did build in these Isles. If you want to utilise indiginous old tech, then for a successful local design get out the history books or visit an Iron Age recreated village. TL[/u] |
