Realistic training can be done on US bases without abusing, violating the rights of the individual states or the population and terrifying little kids.
This is a move to purposely separate the troops from the good will, and trust, of the people.
Sounds very much like the "training" that the Soviets have been doing in the Ukraine.
You feel the way you do because you are in West Virginia and not one of the areas being invaded as if it were hostile territory.

Wild conspiracy theories and dire predictions aside, the exercise has been underway for five days, and my law enforcement contacts in Texas have not reported any black helicopters, mass internments, gun confiscations or landings of alien spaceships yet.
