Hessian - Reality Jones - 17 February 2012

Ok, I can't remember what thread it was in but somebody mentioned Hessian and I said I'd get some from work.
I managed to get a roll, 137 cm x 46mts (54" X 50YDS) still in the wrapper, although I did have to slip the storeman a tenner for this one I may be able to get more on order, plus I'll be at work this weekend and may be able to get some courtesy of the five finger discount.

Apart from using it to cover shiny surfaces so they can't be seen from the air are there any other uses for hessian in the day to day life of a prepper?

make yourself a ghillie suit.

RE: Hessian - Kenneth Eames - 18 February 2012

Make yourself a Hide. Short time buildings can be made and waterproofed with cement mixed with water and used like paint. Two or three coats of this will make it last even longer. Kenneth Eames.
