Cheeky bar steward - mikebratcher69 - 2 March 2012

SUK (Survival UK) http://forum.survivaluk.net/index.php

A fairly new forum so the limited amount of good and in-depth information on the site reflects that. Very little moderation and the site appears to be turning into a right wing talk shop. Very political, and probably about as close to a right wing, U.S. style, guns and bunkers forum as you will find in the UK. Despite its drawbacks, there are some good bits of information hidden amongst the negative comments

Pros: The main website has some interesting articles written by the site owner and some other contributers
Cons: As stated in the site review

Hilarious, the guy appears to like making generalised judgements about other people on other forums making generalised judgements, I doubt he can see the hypocracy in his writing. There appears to be little to offer cept rehashed articles and opinions but its another info point for Brit preppers to check out so its all Kudos to him
I'll say one thing positive about the British prepping secene at least the happy clappers and religous zealots that blight the American scene are wonderfully absent from our community.

Now if I may raise the issue of devil workship for preppers !!!!! Smile

I think the fact that he has bothered to read our site is helpful.

Obviously we are lightly moderated, but SD does a great job and lets us be ourselves.

I know there are some right wing views, and others that just don't care about politics. Personally, I'm more interested in survival to be bothered with discussing politics on here.

Yes I have my rants and raves. But we just seem to accept our differences and get on with it.

OOOOW, how right wing is that? haha

Well guys that is down to our comments on the government and the articles we post. He likes my articles though so he can't be that bad.

If it bothers you to be linked to a right wing anarchist then be careful what you write. I would prefer to keep away from politics and stick to prepping.

I have been called a right wing extremist by Peter Hain MP in parliament. I don't do, OK maybe a little, politics now but I spend more time here.

Just for the record I am a Libertarian and believe in freedom for all. I believe Justice should be blind and fact based and government should leave us alone providing we do no harm to any other person. This makes me right wing in socialists eyes. Fuck em.

Yup I agree S13 , the guy is contributing in his own way to spreading the word around, he opinions appear genuine and without malice, and he has added links to various assorted forums so well done him.

I feel that TPTB and EU is actually pushing members of the public to a more right view.

Sir I think you are very much correct, as in all recorded reccessions and depressions opinions become much more polarised towards the far left (spit) moderate left (losers) Centre ground (no one cares) moderate right ( Yeah thats the boys) and far right ( not for moi).

You find as unemployment rises and jobs and incomes go down you see more folks on the right saying " Cut taxes and benefits and put the money back in the workers pockets" whilst on the left you get them saying " we should be given jobs and benefits because other people have them and we dont".

Anything that exposes either extreme for what they really are is OK by me.
