The bad part of the budget - Scythe13 - 21 March 2012

Fuel duty will rise by 3p a litre in August despite petrol prices rising to a record high, the Chancellor, George Osborne, announced in the Budget.

That's the main downfall of this budget, but let's be fair, we all know fuel will increase anyway.

The increase in the amount of untaxed earnings is nice. Makes low earners about £220ish better off.

By helping the rich more, that'll get them to grow their businesses, thus reducing the unemployent rate.

Also, the reduced business tax (by 2%) means small business owners have a better chance at making it through the hard times.

Sucks if you're a smoker or if you drink in pubs and bars though. Tax there has gone up.

Good luck to all the businesses who will be investing, it won't be that many, because all the consumers will be giving their money away on sin taxes and won't be buying anything else.
