mushy peas for 6p - Nemesis - 31 May 2012

I have been buying all week tins of mushy peas for 6p each, 300g.

I want the cans for project and targets, and of course long term store.

Date on can may 2013 should go well past that.

I don't know how I missed these, I ordered from Tesco the other day but I'm going to have to change it since I'm not going to be home in time anyway, definitely going to add these to the list - I had a load of the marrowfat peas for 14p instead! Thanks.

We opened a tin today and they are quite solid, I did expect a tin full of water and green slime, but no they are not bad at all.

Good find. Thanks for that. I know where I'm going tomorrow.Big Grin

BTW. My brother once worked in a factory for a famous biscuit maker. He said that apart from M&S and Waitrose, (because they insisted on absolute cleanliness and non cross contamination), the ingredients were almost identical and that sometimes the diffference was in what label was put on what product.

So these tins of veg are probably almost identical to their more pricey counterparts.
