AR Drone - Kenneth Eames - 29 July 2012 RE: AR Drone - Carnebwen - 29 July 2012 RE: AR Drone - Skean Dhude - 29 July 2012 Control range is only 160 feet, 50 yards. That isn't that far. It would still be handy but I suspect they wouldn't last long as when they hit the limit they would just hover awaiting instructions. RE: AR Drone - Paul - 30 July 2012 RE: AR Drone - Armoured Gideon - 30 July 2012 RE: AR Drone - Kenneth Eames - 30 July 2012 Thanks Paul, I certainly wish that I could have one of these. Absolutely Brilliant! Great for defence. Kenneth Eames. RE: AR Drone - Armoured Gideon - 30 July 2012 I remember being watched by one of these things (not with machine gun) at Glastonbury festival a couple of years ago! Apparently it was for crowd control and not used in anyway for facial recognition. I wasn't sure how it was going to help control a crowd of over 250.000 people, but what do I know? What fascinated me was just how stable it was in the air and very very manouverable. It moved away when loads of people started to throw things at it, they can reach a high altitude. RE: AR Drone - River Song - 4 June 2013 I've been reading about this things and some of them have been over 1-1/2 miles ! A couple of this things and you could keep them up to see when the hoodies and other undesirables are coming your way. I know that diamonds are a girls best friend but these would come a very close second RE: AR Drone - BeardyMan - 5 June 2013 My mate's got one. Come in kit form, simple to put together, and very modifiable. Strong winds are a no go though, too light |
