Look like a neat idea.

RE: Front packs - Hrusai - 6 August 2012

ive actually been looking at this sort of thing for a while now, covering comapnies like civilian labs and items like this

the idea behind looking at this sort of thing as well as military webbing, is to find a low profile and good weight distribution way of carrying large amounts of gear. i find large bergens and such to be rather cumbersome, and very conspicuous!

those ribz wear are definately cool products, and excel at various applications Smile

good link Big Grin

Love the idea... Laughed at the pics, "Hey guys, check me out, I'm a model" Would have loved a more natural feel to the photos as the bags will be a great piece of survival kit, now I have to buy one coz it's trendy lol.

RE: Front packs - Tigs - 7 August 2012

really lilke the idea but i bit pricey! might stick to mod webbing

I like the civilian labs stuff, but I don't know anyone who has any of it. I'd really like to know if it's visible underneath your garments? Wouldn't want to be sat on a train an have some nosey old biddy spot what could look like a holster or something poking out from under your jacket. Or any unsightly bulges - apart from the obvious :o)

RE: Front packs - bigpaul - 7 August 2012

looks a bit bulky! wouldn't you be better off with a sleeveless jacket with lots of pockets in it, civilian looking and not so obvious.

to be honest ive come to the conclusion that being inconspicuous isnt that important to me anymore, it just means you gotta make too many compromises, and i dont wanna have to take into account how odd i might look for every bit of kit....and most of us will be sticking to the countryside anywho, avoiding people whereever possible!

@binary, i do plan on getting some of those civilian labs stuff for my holiday and for other things, so ill be posting a review of whatever it is i get, whenever it is i get it Smile

fair play, im quite partial to those scottevests, non bulge fabric, stiched together in a certain way to comfortably distribute weight, you can have it full of things and no one would even notice theres anything in your pockets!

altough those ffishing vestsare pretty cool, some neat designs Smile
