Did you see that Newsnight show a while back or Question time some SNP supporters was waffling on about a free Scotish nation and a questioner said " So where are you going to house all the Scots living in England and Wales?"

What do you mean replied the nationalist?

He questioner said " Do you not realise that if Scotland left the UK it would instantly return to the 1707 system and under that the Scots would no longer have the right to live in England and would have to return home"

The nationalist could only bluster and say " well the English would have to leave Scotland "

Questioner pointed out that there are ten times more Scots in England and English in Scotland

Nationalist could only bluster and accuse the questioner of being Anti Scotish.

I'm all for Scotland going its own way if that is what its people want, because it wont half ease up the housing shortage in England when they all head back north.

not necessarily, they would have to apply as in the case of common wealth soldiers fighting in ukaf and as we have seen in the past if they had committed the slightest off offenses they would be denied!

Those people were not born in the UK though. Plus they will have to deal with about a million people in one go. They will all be screaming about their human rights.

If Scotland does go on theirown it won't be in the next few years anyway.
