Thanks prepper1, so that fits into the 0.5 - 1 acre per person figures then.

after TSHTF and you are settled into your retreat, BOL or whatever, for the duration to survive you need "the rule of 3": 1, Food Stores 2. Grow fresh food and (if possible) raise animals..as i've already said this dosent need to be large animals it could be chickens and rabbits....maybe goats(goats would give you milk-instead of trying to milk a cow). 3. hunter/gatherer. if one thing fails you have the others to fall back on/DONT put all your eggs in one basket or you MAY fail.
