RE: The Met and drones - Pagan-Mist - 11 November 2012

I wonder if the sams they had planted over london and other places during the olympics have been removed or not

RE: The Met and drones - NorthernRaider - 11 November 2012

Least they aint armed with Hellfire missiles..... Yet, trouble is of course you simply cannot hear the buggers never mind see em easy in a city cos the background noise nullifies the drones noise, least out of town you have some chance of spotting them. George Orwell woud be so proud of what our nation has turned into.

RE: The Met and drones - Skean Dhude - 11 November 2012

If they were so easily spotted you would think the Taliban would spot them in the desert but they are small and difficult to see even if you know where they are.

RE: The Met and drones - Pagan-Mist - 11 November 2012

That makes it even scarier

Drones. Why worry.

It's the tip of the surveillance iceberg see

and that figure is a year out of date!

As NR says, Orwell would be so proud!

It kind of feels like we're living in a prison without bars. Constantly monitored, tracked, recorded, and the alike.

thats the trouble with living in the city/town. there are no camera's in the countryside.

In this county we have a slightly more sensible police force, there are no static speed cameras anywhere in the county, just the hand held ones the few RT cops have.

The Scottish cops love using them at football matches in case anyone takes a break from orderly clapping or pie munching to suggest that the opposing team might be scoundrels or such like. Heavy hate crime. Wee fat Salmond the allegedly inebriated king of Scotland gets off on arresting people for very little these days
