Just started watching this. Imagine trying to get planning permission for that here in the UK.

I've actually visited many of the eco homes outside Taos NM, ( the midwest americans keep inviting me for some daft reason, god bless em) I was hoping to go north to Utah to see Kaki Hunters rammed earth eco homes project ( She is Wendy Williams off the Porkies movies)

A lot of the houses in Taos etc have great potential for THAT specific environment, but many of the designs would not last 3 months in the British climate

they've got a rammed earth home at a place in Dorset plus some round houses, we visited when we lived in Somerset but i think its closed to the general public now only lets school parties in, also got a friend in Somerset who has a straw bale house and i am sure there are other places like this in the UK.

I love Earthships! Been looking at them and getting one passed for the last 5 years. Seems to be near impossible over in the UK to have one as a home. Exhibition centre....doable. But not a home.

They're made from 50% recycled materials, and cost almost as much as a normal house.

Why are they so expensive to build Scythe?
