House on wheels!! - Dayne - 23 December 2012

Im currenlty building a house on a tractor trailor, its 7.5 meters long a abit under 3 meters wide. Im using angle iron for the frame and very thin planks of timber for the walls with felt and 1 inch insulation, ist only going to have 1 bedroom but am hoping to get a sofa bed for the downstairs compartment. Im working on getting pics up. Im hoping to have 2 log burners in it so hopefully that will keep it at a good temperature even in the harsest of winters

I bought a used caravan off Craigslist for $1500US a couple of years back when our economy hit the skids. Folks were selling off good stuff at despiration prices. Everything works, bathroom, kitchen, furnace and water heater, and I have enjoyed it. I even lived in it short term while I was remodeling my hovel.

It is about the same size mentioned at 33' hitch to bumper and 8' wide.

It is a bit of a load to tow and spends much of its life parked in the lot and being used as a guest house.
