HL I think this is just the Merkins catching up with us by requiring clean burn stoves rather than burn anything stoves. My Aga Little Wenlock SE is legal here in a clean air smokeless zone on Co Durham because its SE controlled ( a clear air version of the ordinary model)
Around here Coal is banned and coalite is the main solid fuel, but a clean burning woodstove is legal.

Not that emission laws are going to matter to anyone in a power cut or blackout Smile
