I don't own a mobile phone or a watch. so don't have a spare either. im about as unprepped as you can get when it comes to everyday carrying. just me , my wallet , a pocket full of change. and a hole in my odd socks. oh and a book on medicinal plants. (recent addition). time is relative to needs, I have no need for the time. there is only three times in the day for me, morning , midday , and evening. everything else is somewhere inbetween one of those. RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Highlander - 7 April 2013 I am lucky enough to drive for a living, so I do have a small bag,..in it I have Amateur hand radio,.. in a small farady case,..a money box wrapped in foil [ so does the wife ] phone charger, legal carry knife, fire making kit, food for one night My work provides me with plenty in the way of warm clothing and good footwear RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Luci_ferson - 7 April 2013 that sounds much more manageable, and I could forget the phone charger , and throw in a clockwork torch instead. RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Highlander - 7 April 2013 (7 April 2013, 22:31)Luci_ferson Wrote: that sounds much more manageable, Arrrh,... have a torch too, nearly forgot, work provides one... ![]() RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Luci_ferson - 7 April 2013 got all you really need then its enough to get you to where your other stuff is. even if you have to stay out overnight. RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Highlander - 7 April 2013 Its only to get me home if I need to walk, I have a set area in which I work, and the furthest away would be about 20 something miles, so it makes sense to assume I will be spending at least one night out I am always aware,.. and pleased when I get to my furthest point and am working my way back... ![]() RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Luci_ferson - 7 April 2013 luckily the only place I could likely be heading to is either here or my BOL both are within a 20 min walk from anywhere I go. even if there was danger on the streets I could probably get to either within about 4 hours ( staying out of sight ) if we go further from home its usually to go camping so we have a lot of kit with us anyway. RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Wildman - 7 April 2013 i did a thread on possibles pouches in the bushcraft section, might help you. RE: MY EVERY DAY CARRY - Hrusai - 8 April 2013 all i carry when i go out is me wallet, which is attached to me keys, a knife, a couple of lighters, some smoking supplies, a drink and me ipod. all i need to get home, never really venture far enough to warrant more, if i'm going further afield i'll have a bag of stuff, but that ain't edc ![]() though when i get a car i'll be keeping a small kit in there. |
