Hi, local B@M selling small wind up LD torch. RAC make, orange coloured and shatter proof, for £1. Saw a youtube demo recentely and they used one to charge up a mobile, wondered if it could be used to charge up a small DVD player.

The torch wouldn't generate enough watts/volts etc to charge a DVD player.
You'd need to rig up a 12v dc/ac converter to a car battery but the amount of amps it would draw would quickly run down the battery.
If the DVD player is a portable type with chargable batteries you'd have to check what output the torch creates and what input would be needed by the player.
