RE: Fun With Pine Trees - Straight Shooter - 13 May 2013 another great post....thanks s13 RE: Fun With Pine Trees - Sunna - 13 May 2013 new one on me , pine flour thanks RE: Fun With Pine Trees - Timelord - 13 May 2013 I use pine cones in my stove regular. They are great mixed with kindling, catch easy, burn hot and produce a superb glowing cone mass for a while before disappearing. They are like nuts and hold a lot of energy within. They are light too and easy to transport. Kept dry, they make excellent fuel that can be stored a long time, like wood. They give off a pleasant smell in open fires. They are easy to gather in your local environment at the right time of year when they fall to the ground and can also be shaken from the tree at this time. They can also be easily gathered on the hoof. |
