I've just been looking at 3 piece take down recurve that come in 64, 66 and 68inch lengths and with draw weights from 12 to 38 pounds at 28 inches and quite a few were under £70. I'm looking to comprimise because as much as I love my compounds they are a twat to restring, but if I get a couple of semi decent shortish 36 pound draw TD recurves I can easily stock spares limbs (£30 per pair) and spare strings . I love my compounds at they work so well indoors and in wooded areas and could easily be used from my van when I had it, but I need a reliable simple back up that when assembled isnt going to be hugely long.

I have one very similar to that. Absolutely beautiful to shoot with loads of power and accuracy is perfect. I even have a dozen handmade arrows to go with it.
