today i built a bigger hobo stove from an paint /ink tin 7.5 ins across and 5ins deep, wow what a difference it boiled 1pt of water in 6ish mins the only difference in the build was air holes in the bottom [thanks bm ].
it uses more wood but apart from that its great , so i tryed some cooking on it .
fryed onions in olive oil with red kidney beans and chickpeas with fresh garlic, it was lovley going to do my tea on it later .

Good job! i'd love to see pics.

Hats off to you, if the worst comes to the worst, you could easily scavenge parts to make one whilst bugged out!

for longer term use im thinking one of those old metal buckets it should make a cracker , im searching local car boots as we speak .

I made a rocket stove out of a bit six inch flue pipe last year works fine but a bit heavy really but solid and will last ,will do me.
