Appropriately named Survivor radio - Lightspeed - 23 August 2013

Here's a kit for a 40m radio that is capable of 200 mile range using Single Side Band (SSB) speech mode.

200 mile range NVIS using fixed 20metre long antenna

It'll take some time to solder the kit together, which will be a good education in itself.

Price around £ 90 plus delivery and tax

Cracking little radio Bob

I especially like teh £50 CW ( morse) transceiver, Pre-built and it even has an automatic morse keyyer in it. The Auto call feature would make a good distress beacon.
