Handy if your captors are innept....never would i restrain anybody to the front ...quite impressed he broke them behind his back though ... restrained should mean restrained...use the captives belt or belt loop to restrict movement...and if in doubt or manpower is lacking then hobble them with another tie and take them to the floor

Not everyone is experienced at restraining people. After an event this knowledge could mean the difference between life and death, for both parties.

learn a choke /sleeper hold i can put sombody to sleep in 3 to 6 secs

Paracord laces can also be used to burn/cut throught cable ties.
Check out ITStactical on youtube...and self experimentation haha.

Only if they let you touch them.
Plus then both your arms are occupied and theirs are free - you may want to wear goggles...
