A Poem for the Apocalypse..... - RoadWarrior - 7 September 2013
I walk alone ,thru my estate
what future,does man contemplate
at 5am, a quiet place
what future,for this dumb rat race
asleep, with central heating on
they cannot hear the birds song
convenience,a friend of man
but it could all go in a bang
how can these people get thru this
they cannot understand our K.i.S.S
the lights in houses they leave on
electrics great, its always on
2 cars on their drives, always start
added to their shopping cart
this internet is really great
it makes then think its their best mate
lets blow some cash on iphone 5
but that wont keep that family alive
I look around the grocery store
there buying scratchcards...need to score
I stand behind them,want to laugh
ive only beans and some nescaff
theres no more glossy magazines
of wags and other beauty queens
oh its so great to be alive
convenience makes their world thrive
I do not need it, ive bigger plans
preparing ,the downfall of man
need much more water,food for our plates
id rather buy this than pay the rates
sit in my garden,thinking hard
of what I still need to tick my card
a better knife, some para boots
or crossbow bolts when they start to loot
take everyday to get prepared
try not to get the children scared
I work to live, but pays not great
a house of cards on welfare state
the worlds a blaze,or soon to be
I plan to be around to see
to live long past the crash
or nuclear war.....who knows what this Earth has in store?
theres all the signs, its all in place
destruction of the human race
we must prepare..we cannot die
the solar flares above the sky
que up with those who don't hoard soup
remember there not in the "loop"

thanks , just wanted to post something but couldn't think of anything so knocked up this in 5 mins...wish recording songs was a simple and as quick as this.!! ive been getting a lift to work and gotta walk afew miles first, this is what goes thru my head .
